TUNES – Deep Chatham, badass bluegrass music

In the dark woods of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Jeff Loops and Julian Sikes grew up together inspired by living the simple southern life. When the two took off across the nation as now-defunct band Baby Cowboy, fate brought them to Talkeetna, Alaska, where they met fiddle and banjo player Matt Heckler. This unique trio of musicians call themselves Deep Chatham and they released the highly-anticipated bluegrass album Words From The Well in 2011.

Their music is haunting, intricate and will hit your soul hard. Meet our friends by giving them a listen, we promise you won’t be disappointed by their sound.

“Madeline”

“Carolina Rain”
(DISCLAIMER: IF YOU ARE FROM NORTH CAROLINA THIS SONG WILL MAKE YOU WEEP AND DIE WITH BEAUTY. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.)
