ART – Matt Roth Evolves

In Matt’s own words…

“Evolve is a study of typographic form in the public sphere and how we can better communicate. When we see words, we receive more than the intended message.

This project began by analyzing typography in our created space. Through my involvement in the skateboarding community, I realize the ineffectiveness of the words we use. A sign may say “No Skateboarding,” but it does not physically prohibit the act. The realization led me to question more than just message, but also the form of typography. Evolve improves the gap between sender and receiver. “

Matt Roth is a designer living in Brooklyn, New York. You might have seen his “Java the Hut” design on RASCAL before, but you can check out more of his work on Behance as well.
